Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire

This detailed questionnaire gives us a snapshot of you and your partner’s health and any lifestyle factors that may be having an impact on your fertility.

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) Blood Test

The AMH Blood Test helps to measure the hormone associated with a woman’s ovarian reserve levels – the lower the number of eggs, the lower the level of Anti-Mullerian Hormone. Women with a diminished ovarian reserve have diminished fertility and an increased risk of miscarriage. So this test provides a snapshot early on so a decision can be made on when to start trying for a baby and when to access fertility treatment. This test can be done at any time during a normal menstrual cycle.

Female Egg Reserve Scan

The Female Egg Reserve Scan is used in conjunction with the AMH Blood Test to provide more information about the number of quality eggs left within the ovaries. The test involves a single pelvic ultrasound scan between days 3 to 5 of the menstrual cycle.

Semen Analysis

Smoking, alcohol, certain chemicals and a variety of other factors can affect the health of sperm.  A semen analysis is the single most important piece of information needed to assess male fertility. It measures the amount and quality of a man’s semen and sperm – assessing characteristics such as the thickness of the fluid and sperm movement.

The results of these tests combined with your answers from the Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire will then help us determine whether you are eligible for our services at MyIVF.

At MyIVF, we only treat patients that require standard IVF/ICSI procedures. If you have already seen a gynaecologist or fertility specialist who has recommended standard IVF/ICSI treatment, then MyIVF may be able to help.
